Daily Loaf Reports Republican Senate Hopeful Has Doubts About 6

GOP State Senate hopeful Jack Latvala has concerns about SB 6 according to an article at the Daily Loaf.  Latvala, from Pinellas, hasn't read the bill, so all of his opinions are based on newspaper reports. "I have some concerns,” he said.
“It seems like a pretty broad brushed approach, and there’s been some individual teachers who I’ve run into that don’t think that bill takes into account some of the socio-economic problems that they have with their students, and teachers with developmentally disabled students, how are you going to test them? There’s a lot of concerns. about it and I’m not sure that. It probably needs a little more discussion and a little more deliberation. I don’t see why they’re rushing it through. I would like to look at it a real closely.”
